What DLStudy is — and is not

DLStudy is an independent study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state DMV, government agency, or official licensing authority.

Practice questions, explanations, and study materials are learning aids written to help you prepare. They are not official exam questions, and they are not reproductions of any official exam. Handbook content is summarized or quoted from publicly available state driver handbooks.

• We do not guarantee that you will pass any exam.
• We do not guarantee that our content matches the questions on your actual test.
• Exam formats, rules, and content change; always confirm current requirements with your state licensing authority.

Eligibility and your account

• You must be old enough to hold or apply for a learner permit or driver license in your state, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
• Accounts are for individual use. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Some features require a paid plan. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

The price, billing period, and any trial terms are shown at checkout before you pay. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand.

• You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Trial charges are not refundable once the trial has begun, because access is granted immediately.
• If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review it in good faith.
• We may change prices for future billing periods. Changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

Acceptable use

When using the Service, please do not:

• Copy, scrape, republish, resell, or redistribute our questions, explanations, or other content.
• Use automated tools to extract content or place unreasonable load on the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems.
• Use the Service to break the law, or to help anyone cheat on an official examination.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the networks it relies on.

Our content and your content

The Service, including its questions, explanations, translations, design, and software, is owned by Recherche Solutions LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own exam preparation.

You keep ownership of anything you submit, such as questions you ask our study assistant. You grant us permission to process that content in order to operate and improve the Service.

AI-generated explanations

Parts of the Service use automated systems to generate explanations and answer questions. These systems can be wrong or incomplete. Treat their output as a study aid, not as authoritative guidance, and verify anything important against your official state driver handbook.

Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties, including Supabase for accounts and data, Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, and providers of sign-in with Google and Microsoft. Your use of those sign-in options is also subject to the relevant provider's terms.

Availability and changes

• We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time.
• We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where required by law. If we terminate your account without cause while you hold an active paid subscription, we will refund the unused portion of that period.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your particular exam.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recherche Solutions LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or exam results, arising from your use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
